This framework establishes the legal standing of IMEXA, defines its governance structure, and sets out the principles by which standards, certification, accreditation, and disciplinary processes are administered globally.

IMEXA is an independent international professional body established to set and uphold standards in behavioural and expression analysis across multiple disciplines.

IMEXA operates as a non-profit entity, with its primary purpose being the advancement of professional standards, ethical practice, and global consistency within its field.

Where applicable, IMEXA may be formally registered within specific jurisdictions (including as a Non-Profit Company), while maintaining its international scope and authority.

IMEXA certification and accreditation are professional designations and do not replace or override statutory licensing or regulatory requirements in any country.

Governance Structure

IMEXA is governed through a structured framework designed to ensure effective oversight and global consistency.

This includes:

  • Global Governing Body / Board Responsible for strategic direction, standards approval, and oversight
  • Advisory and Specialist Committees Including discipline-specific and legal advisory functions
  • National and Regional Chapters Responsible for local implementation of IMEXA standards under global governance
  • Accreditation and Certification Panels Responsible for evaluation, assessment, and decision-making processes All governance structures operate within clearly defined roles and are accountable to IMEXA’s global framework.
